Short Movie Roundup 26 January 2020

Hello readers, a few Sunday Shorts for you, my favourite of the week is the last one… something for y’all to really get into I hope!

Gate 128

A sentimental short set in a future where women are scarce and what seems the the last woman, have to make a journey to a safe haven along with her brother for protection, but their journey is treacherous and filled with lots of obstacles, mostly violent people. Not a lot goes into explain situation although it’s quite common with the post apocalyptic genre, to just assume that the reader or viewer can just perceive any end of the world scenario, and we can take it from there. the film is more like a short movie rather than just a short, in the sense that has a clear beginning middle and end along with character building and plot twists, or at least there was an attempt to make these, generally the film was quite enjoyable, especially if you’re into b-movies or low budgets, but unfortunately they didn’t really stretch the imagination and try to do more with the time that they had.
