Will Dracula wear a Cape again?

scars of dracula christopher lee

I’m going to attempt to broach a ridiculous question that has bothered me and probably only me for a few years now. I often spend hours on the toilet pondering if Dracula will ever return wearing a cape again.. Probably a good time to point out that these “hours” are cumulative.

More recently there seems to be a shift from Dracula movies to Vlad flicks, it’s nothing new, things often switch from one to the other as trends change, the earliest Vlad movie that I can remember was the Russian 70’s effort, Vlad Tepes (1979), I’m sure there are more but I really enjoyed this film so it gets checked. Pyramid Head from the Silent Hill Game vs Pyramid Head from the Silent Hill Movie

Let the showdown Commence!

Silent Hill Game (1999)

Pyramid Head

The original prankster, rapist, murderer and scary mofo, was introduced to us in the Konami classic Silent Hill 2. Not that Silent Hill wasn’t scary enough the makers had to try harder for the second game. Everything that you were accustomed to was chucked aside for a whole new squad of monsters including mannequins, hoodie style spitting ghouls and Pyramid Head, a creature that nearly made me wet my pants in the demo and he didn’t even have to move, his presence was enough.

Throughout the game you’re constantly stalked by the Pointed Headed Demon, who after you see raping and killing one of the other monsters, a pair of legs, you understand that he’s down for business and if you played the game anything like me, if you saw him, you ran like a pencil neck sissy.

He was tough, so fucking hardcore that a few times in the game all you can do is run from him, even when you get his weapon from him, you still couldn’t take him out! It’s fair to say that the way in which Silent Hill was made it forces you to the edge of sanity anyway. It’s not ALL down to Pyramid Head, the sounds, creatures and disturbing acts around you are all designed to get you frightened, he was just an added bonus, the cherry on the icing. Yes I’m referring to Pyramid Head as a Cherry.. a huge hulking giant fucking pointed Cherry on the icing that is Silent Hill.

If you played the game, you’ll never forget him. NEVER

His character spurred a thousand cosplay and Halloween outfits, tattoos and thousand of Rape O’Clock memes, all for our favourite Konami bad guy with no face, no real name but full on fear factory of shaky hands and screams in the night.. I honestly do salute you sir.

Silent Hill (2006)

Silent Hill

After the success of the Konami Games,  the game franchise eventually got turned into a movie, this movie was ok, not great.. not really Silent Hill, a ton of mistakes were made, combining two games together, eliminating our favourite hero, Harry and replacing him with a woman, changing around all the great characters into not so great character and trying to explain all the mysteries made everything less scary, also a huge let down by not using Cameron Diaz as Cybil was a shocker as the character in the game was clearly her.. I dunno what they were thinking.

But Pyramid head was able to make his presence known in the film. He kinda looked like Pyramid head, the actor Roberto Campanella did an okay job at looking the part but why did they change the “hat” to black? Humm..

One of the best loved scenes from the film did include our favourite bad boy Pyramid head using some skin to knock on a church door. Apart from some stalking he didn’t really do a lot. He certainly was a pussy compared to the game.

Verdict

Konami Pyramid Head is a tough ombre that caused a lot of bedwetting and got his rocks off in front of everyone. He was ruthless and lets face it not matter how tough you pretend you are, he scares you! I reckon if he was gonna do anymore raping it would be his movie counterpart sprawled out taking it like a loser…. So the original has to be the…

WINNER

Konami’s Original Pyramid Head (1999).

Pyramid Head

What do you think? Who would you chose to win this battle?

THE BOYKA CONNECTION

I have to thank my friend “The Bear” for lending me Undisputed II (2006), what an amazing movie it is! It soon prompted me to watch Undisputed (2002) which was a load of dry ole balls.. No matter it happens sometimes, although if I had watched Undisputed (2002) first then I probably would have avoided the second movie… *shudders* Imagine that a world without Boyka! NOOOOO!!! So eventually I managed to find the most up to date movie, Undisputed III (2010) and DING DONG! It was bloody astounding, and that was all down to our boy behind bars.. Yuri Boyka! What a champion! BOYKA BOYKA! BOYKA BOYKA!

image

I know I’m not the only one who finds they are perched on the sofa chanting BOYKA BOYKA! Through out the fight scenes and I’m certainly not the only one who gets all excited when he tells yanks to “shut the hell up” or “you need to shut your f*cking mouth” and I could watch him beating seven bells of hell out of everyone all night long. It was great seeing a mini Boyka role in the Tournament (2009) even if it was about 2 minutes long

Even in the second movie where he is supposed to be a brutal stamp collecting monster you still love him and his kick ass/get schit done attitude. Don’t get me wrong, George Chambers (Michael Jai White) was a great guy, helping out all those poor people and cripples but Boyka stole the show. So much so that the third movie was about HIM!

Basically Scott Adkins could play the Boyka character forever and we would still love him, imagine where this could go? Undisputed 8 Boyka the father, Boyka saves the world!? Boyka VS Mothra!! Why the hell don’t I have a Boyka T-Shirt!? I need action dolls and bed spreads and I think small children all over the world need to stop being so deluded that kindness will get them everywhere and take stab at being the most complete fighter in the world.

30 Day Horror Movie Challenge!

Nightmare01

Day 1- your first horror movie- this would be Nightmare On Elm Street (1984), I was about 5 or 6 when i first saw it and it was an instant favourite (yes my mother was a bit oddball) but i handled it well BOYAKA!!

Day2- the last horror movie you saw in the theater – I think that would be Trollhunter (2010), certainly made me a bit icky. I absolutley love this film it really should be in my top 30.

Day 3- favorite classic horror movie – probably a hammer horror…Oh I dunno this will be a toughy how about Night of the Demon (1957). Night of the Demon

Day 4- a horror movie you thought you’d love and didn’t – most after dark movies….if I had to name and shame, maybe the Rite (2011). I made the fatal error of buying before I watched it, I thought with Anthony Hopkins, Exorcisms and a good supporting cast it couldn’t be bad.. *sigh*

Day5- favorite horror remake – is there such a thing? Oh yeah the Thing (1982)!

Day 6- favorite vampire movie – oh man! I really do detest vampire in general I’m much more of a werewolf kinda girl unless the vampire is Chris Lee. But there have been a few good Vamp flicks in the past.. and for this I’d have to choose the Lost Boys (1987) or Daybreakers (2009) for it’s alternative styling?!

Day 7- a horror movie you think no one has seenSkinned Deep (2004) and everyone should watch it. No I couldn’t recommend a movie, only give my opinion. I really did like the crazyness of it, like Killer X/Natural Selection/Monster Hunter(1999) it just tells a story and doesn’t care what anything thinks about the process.

rec spanish horror movie

Day 8- favorite foreign horror – I don’t like the term foreign movie, every movie is foreign to someone.. BUT I’ll go for non English speaking and side with Rec (2007).

Day 9- favorite super natural horror movie – I think I would have to choose Poltergeist (1982).

Day 10- horror movie every one loves but you don’t – this is hard because i love most horror.. or do I?

Dog Soldiers

Day 11- favorite horror/ comedy – I don’t do comedy.. but I do laugh a lot in horror movies, I gotta say House III/The Horror Show(1989) gives me the most giggles but it’s also quite annoying but my choice today goes to Dog Soldiers (2002).

BegottencoverDay 12- your most disturbing horror film– I know a lot of movies that are widely accepted as disturbing and there are some which personally disturb me, some un-nerve due to phobias, childhood experiences etc, but it took me a few attempts to watch this film and it really digs deep the Begotten (1990)

Day 13- favorite zombie movie – I used to adore zombie movies but they are all kinda the same now. We are starting to get some diversity so I’m going to go for a crazy zombie film but one I keep going back to Wild Zero (1999).

wildzero

Day 14- favorite indie horror movie – I adore Independent films, but I don’t know of many horror ones, it’s usually too expensive to use the effects that replace good story telling and acting (JK) I think I’ll watch the Decent (2005).

Day 15- favorite monster movie – I’d like to say Trolljegeren (2010) but I’ve mentioned that sooo.. Lets watch Rogue (2007), it’s not the most dramatic monster movie but it was consistently brutal and Sam Worthington didn’t save the day! thanks giant Croc!

Day 16- horror film with a great soundtrack – I was never a big fan of any of the Underworld (2003) franchise but I picked up the soundtrack due to hearing what I thought was Puscifer and low and behold the OST was better than the films and introduced me to Genghis Tron!

Day 17- favorite 80’s horror – I was a wee bearn in the 1980’s but was regulary exposed to horror movies, for a huge run down on 80’s horror check out this website  80shorrormovies.com! My choice this challenge will be cult classic Waxwork (1988).

notldDay 18- favorite horror movie filmed in black and white – I’m going to be really obvious here and go with something really popular… Night of the Living Dead (1968). I believe that being an independent movie is the reason why this was shot in black and white, but no matter how many remakes this movies has the original shots from this are always the most iconic.

Day 19- best use of gore – Oh man, what is a horror movie without gore!? One of the first movies that comes to mind when gore is mentioned is Braindead/Dead Alive(1992).It has to have some of the best gore and for me the best mass zombie killing scene.. Lawnmover death!braindead

Day 20- favorite horror character –  For me it’s Ashley ‘Ash’ J. Williams from Evil Dead (1981).

Day 21- best horror franchise – There are so many but so many now, a lot of them have a let down movie, I’d like to go with Alien as I adore all of the movies in every way but there are only 4, do you need more for a franchise? also it’s more sci fi than just horror.. Okay it’s going to be a long night.. Omen get’s my vote.

pyramidDay 22-best death scene – NO!!! don’t make me choose one! FINE I’ll go for this one.. brilliant, unexpected and such a timeless classic.. Mr Pyramid Head skinning technique from Silent hill (2006). The only thing missing was him raping the corpse.

Day 23- a great quote from a horror movie – A little quote here from Devil’s Rejects

“Boy, the next word that comes out of your mouth better be some brilliant fuckin’ Mark Twain shit. ‘Cause it’s definitely getting chiseled on your tombstone.”

babyDay 24- horror movie character that describes you – I asked around  I was told by several people i am as annoying as Baby Firefly from House of 1000 Corpses (2003).

Day 25- favorite Christmas/ holiday horror movie – I love how festive movies are all really terrible like Die Hard 2 (1990) but as this is HORROR!! my vote goes to Gremlins (1984)

Day 26- horror movie for a chicken – Any comedy horror movie is really a good place to start for horror pussies  I’m going to chuck in a more recent movie that had no scares what so ever.. Creepshow 3 (2006)

Day 27-your guilty pleasure horror movie – I’m going to get slated for this, but I own House of wax (2005).

Day 28- horror film you’d like to see remade/ rebooted – Now this has got to be quite a passionate request for me, I couldn’t simply ask for a movie to be remade when I don’t really agree with remakes, but I personally would like to see Silent hill (2006) remade and more accurately to the original game, I’d like to see Harry Mason battling things out in the surrealist supernatural psychological survival horror that silent hill should be.

Day 29- worst horror movie – Oh man there are so many of these, I know everyone would probably pick Anaconda (1997) because it was famously bad but I think I’m going to not ruin my night with that again but try Parasomnia (2008).

Day 30- your favorite all time horror movie (or one of 🙂 ) – phhh.. okay just on.. Howling (1981). I love watching this film, I never get bored of it

What is Horror?

paulberry

So I’m thinking of writing a few lists, articles about horror.. and then I realised that I’m not 100% sure if I have the correct definition.  Fear and horror I personally think are aspects of the human psyche that are very personal and I don’t think there is a general definition but I’ll get things clear on what I will list as horror.. so  lets investigate…

Lets see what the standard definition is!?

“Horror is a film genre seeking to elicit a negative emotional reaction from viewers by playing on the audience’s primal fears. Horror films often feature scenes that startle the viewer; the macabre and the supernatural are frequent themes. Thus they may overlap with the fantasy, supernatural, and thriller genres.

Horror films often deal with the viewer’s nightmares, hidden fears, revulsions and terror of the unknown. Plots within the horror genre often involve the intrusion of an evil force, event, or personage, commonly of supernatural origin, into the everyday world. Prevalent elements include ghosts, aliens, vampires, werewolves, curses, satanism, demons, gore, torture, vicious animals, monsters, zombies, cannibals, and serial killers. Conversely, movies about the supernatural are not necessarily always horrific.”

Okay? got it!

One thing to consider is.. “what isn’t horror?” Well romantic comedies aren’t horror, although in their own way they generally scare the shite out of me. Anything which is appealing shouldn’t be classed as horror.

But it’s not to say horror can’t be romantic. I’m sure Dracula is still considered a gothic horror and it’s a timeless love story too, which brings me onto another factor.

There are very few movies which are just one genre, there are comedy horrors, romantic sci fi’s etc, all stories have many elements to them, it’s been that way since the early cave paintings I’m sure. So you’ll find it hard to pop a movie entirely into the horror bucket and nothing else.

Now for the crushing defeat, everyone is different, what scares you is very different to what scares me, for example my list of movies that make me sleep with the light on probably wouldn’t scare a majority of people in the slightest.

I guess you’d have to assume that it would be a subject that would horrify the general public, because we all know one person who is alternative and would love to be ripped apart by zombies, stalked by a killer, eaten by cannibals, or maybe my friend base is just very odd.

So lets go with the notion that it’s something that intends to repulse…

Frankenstein's_monster_(Boris_Karloff)

HMV and Blockbusters

So I’ve finally ventured out after being kained by the flu and all hell had broken loose!

A helicopter crashes into a high-rise in London, Blockbusters and HMV both go into administration.

Maybe I should stay inside for everyone’s safety.

Well this brings me onto two subjects. The helicopter incident, how long before that becomes a movie? There are a lot of real life events that make it into movies, some as Found Footage Movies or Documovies, and others just use the event as a base for a movie, usually throwing all facts out of the window.

It was a tragic event, and lives were lost, I don’t think a movie will help ease any of the pain or enlighten people to dangers, but it can make someone rich.. that’s the cynical way of looking at it I suppose.

We shall see what happens but huge praise for the pilot who looked like he tried his best to save as many lives and avert a catastrophe as best he could.

One thing I can’t help but mention, Titanic. Yes Titanic. We all know that Titanic was a tragic loss of human life on a scale we can’t quite take in at times. It’s in the history books, it has folk law and is basic common knowledge… Or is it?! When I noticed a huge surge of tweets on the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic that read “OMG it’s not just a movie” I was appalled. I’ll go into this at another time but you would like to think that movies made about real events would in fact help educate people, but I suppose they need to know that the movie is about a real event in the first place * sigh *

Next topic!!

HMV and Blockbusters!!

Oh dear.. I gotta admit that I’m at fault with the rest of the nation really.

It seems that the internet is to blame, and we’re all to blame, and Amazon is to blame and maybe illegal downloading is to blame.. Oh man we should all be ashamed of ourselves.

HMV

I used to buy a lot more from HMV in the past, my main concern wasn’t so much the price, although you could buy everything cheaper off their website and it had more variety than the shop. BUT also if I went to any other HMV in the country they had a better choice. I would find myself going to Norwich or Colchester to make purchases in a shop that I have in my own high street, just because they had what I wanted in stock. I could have ordered the items in but then it would cost me more money how is that fair!?!? Maybe a suggestion box would have helped?
One thing that I couldn’t understand about HMV is that they were the last man standing, I thought they had won the music wars of the high streets!?!? But was I just a load of music shops fleeing a sinking ship? Had the other companies realised that the downloading and market was going to change things forever? (Who’s to say this will last forever?) When MTV turns into a talk channel, you gotta realise that the music industry isn’t what it used to be. Is this just another step towards… something new?

I will be sad when there is no HMV to browse around. We’ve already lost Virgin/Zavvi, Our Price, Andys Records, MVC, Tower Records and a host of other smaller chains.. I guess his masters voice just ain’t being heard anymore.

Even the market stall that used to sell alternative DVD’s and CD’s in this town failed to arrive week after week because not enough was being sold. I suppose because people could buy cheaper online or download for free.

It does make you wonder if the price of music is just too expensive? People will spend hundreds going to gigs and summer festivals for the live music experience but not on the albums? Is there any truth in this?

Now for Blockbusters!? I guess this one was on the cards for some time (as was HMV) I heard about the US Blockbusters going down in a blaze of fury. Blockbusters brought out a lot of other DVD rental stores, pushed it’s online rentals through the roof but still managed to fail so badly!? HOW COME?

Oh yeah we’re all to blame.. Or is it just a change in market? Online sales and marketing, downloading and rentals are cheaper, easier and quicker. But these stores have websites that must do good business? Who are they competing with?

For now I shall blame Amazon, Lovefilm and Zoverstocks… they pulled me in and turned me against my loved ones… * rages at the sky *

Amazon don’t pay any tax, have cheap prices and sell second hand stock. Lovefilm give his free movies on their TV channel, rent and sell second hand and new stock, Zoverstocks have the best game plan. They buy from desperate folk (I think their sister site called MusicMagPie), at the cheapest possible prices then undersell everyone on Amazon! Job done! I had got to the point where I couldn’t afford new DVD’s every month, the rentals were going downhill so I went back to second hand buying, then for most of 2012 I noticed that everything became affordable on amazon again and ALL my orders were through Zoverstock!! Sadly there is no grouping together to save postage, but that has to be the key to making money on DVD’s being sold at 6p, but literally everything came from them, Now and again I think I actually had to make a conscious choice to choose the next seller along just to break up the monotony.

So is this what it has come to? After all the years of aggressive takeovers it’s second hand society and online dealings have killed two high street (previously known as) giants?!?

The questions are…

What will happen next?

Who will be he big names of tomorrow?

If this can happen to our movie/games and music shops, what will happen to our cinemas/music venues and arcades?

2000AD strips that should make it to the big screen

Right here is a run down of my favourite 2000AD strips/characters that I feel could make great movies. To see details of what has already been made into films check out this post.

Durham Red

Part of the Stontium Dogs, Durham Red eventually got her own strip, as a solo vampire bounty hunter bad ass kinda lass. There was an awesome strip based on a hunter killer game, similar to the tournament and obviously used Michael Wincott’s character from the Crow (1995) as the overlord who organised the tournament. This could be an interesting start to Durham in the Cinema. Sadly I think it would just turn into Underworld (2010). Although I think if there was ever a match, my girl Durham would kick ass.

Button Man

Harry Exton, ex-mercenary, is a “Button Man”, a hired killer pitted against other killers in an underground sport. Each works for a mysterious “Voice”, a rich man of unknown identity. The object of the game is to kill your opponent, or capture him and take his marker – the first two joints of a finger. Button Men who lose three fingers are shot anyway. The “voices” profit from the game by gambling on the outcome, and a ruthless killer like Harry Exton can make a modestly wealthy man extremely rich. Exton decides to quit, only to discover that leaving the Button Man game isn’t so easy. What more needs to be said, it’s another tournament movie and probably a great one for Liam Neeson.

ABC Warriors

The A.B.C. Warriors are a team of war robots designed to withstand ‘Atomic’, ‘Bacterial’ and ‘Chemical’ warfare. They were built to take part in the long-running Volgan War,  Each robot has a distinctive personality – often one programmed by its human creators – but each is more or less able to act with free will. The team is made up of Hammerstein, Deadlock, Joe Pineapples, Blackblood, Mongrel, Steelhorn/the Mess, Mek Quake and Ro Jaws. There have been other members join up now and again over time. But with all of the Transformers movie technology this could be a marvelous film.

Nemesis

Nemesis the warlock was in the very first 2000AD comic I ever brought, drawn by Clint Langley (my all time favourite artist). I guess it was love at first sight. Nemesis is a a fire-breathing demonic alien, fights against the fanatical Torquemada, Grand Master of the Terran Empire in Earth’s distant future, and his attempts to exterminate all alien life. Grotesque, hyperbolic and violent, the series possesses a dark wit and biting satirical intent.

Slaine

Sláine is a barbarian fantasy adventure series based on Celtic myths and storieswhich first appeared in 1983. Sláine’s favourite weapon is an axe called “Brainbiter”. He has the power of the “warp spasm”, based on the ríastrad or body-distorting battle frenzy of the Irish hero Cú Chulainn, in which earth power “warps” through his body, turning him into a terrifying, monstrous figure who knows neither friend nor foe. He is a devotee of the earthgoddess Danu.

Obviously it would be hard for this not to turn into Conan (1984) but is there any hard of having an Irish Conan? NO! It would be amazing to see it embrace the old Celtic myths and I have to admit Ireland/Celtic myths tend to get forgotten by Hollywood, the only recent references I’ve seen to them would be from Hellboy 2 (2008 ) but Del Toro does like a good fable. I’m sure they would like to give the part to Michael Fassbender but I’d pefer to see someone more meaty in the role, is it really time for the New arnie??

Outlaw

He used to be a killer. He used to be the best. Now the past is about to catch up with him. How far is he prepared to go to save everything he hold dear? He is about to find out…

After all of the Django Unchained I feel a bit odd suggesting this! (JOKE) we need more positive black male characters in the movie business.

The story isn’t an easy one from what I remember, it’s actually quite similar to the background story in Tournament (2009) (and yes a thousand other movies)  Where the bad ass has his family killed and goes out for revenge so why not just chuck Ving Rhames in for good measure?

Rogue Trooper

Rogue, a G.I. (or Genetic Infantryman, a genetically modified, blue-skinned, manufactured elite soldier) and his three comrades’ search for the Traitor General. His comrades are in the form ofbiochips (onto which a G.I.’s entire personality is downloaded at the time of death for later retrieval) and are named Gunnar (mounted on Rogue’s rifle), Bagman (on hisbackpack) and Helm (on his helmet). He is genetically engineered to be immune to almost all known toxins. He can submerge in strong acid unaffected, and is able to withstand a vacuum in his bare skin.

Strontium Dogs

Now this would rock, after a Strontrium (90?) fall out Britian is left with very few people and then the mutations start.. BRILLIANT! But as this is a cool comic, they don’t turn into X men they aren’t pretty but they have a laugh! There are issues like segregation and the mutants are seen as second class citizens, and congriguate in ghettos in places like Milton Keynes. This is begging to me made a black comedy sci fi britflick? I’d like to see it as a proper doomsday film, with a similar cast actually, the boys did well in Dog Soldiers (2002) too (did anyone notice the cast was almost the same?)

Vector 13

Vector 13 was one of my all time favourite strips as it was a full story in each episode and it played out like the Twilight Zone or Outer Limits and I absolutely adore those shows. It would be a bit crap to draw one of these stories out into a full movie like the box (2009) that movie was a hour longer than it needed to be, wait the original was about right, did it really need to be drawn out into a movie? C’mon! Maybe this could be compiled together like Creepshow (1982) into a series of shorts?

We need some proper sinister MIB with some shocking tales to tell. If your into this kinda thing then I can’t help but shout about my favourite podcast, Mysterious Universe. I’ll add their links soon but in the meantime check them out here http://mysteriousuniverse.org/

Sinister Dexter

This strip started when I was about ready to give up on 2000AD due to costs but I did enjoy the first round. it features the exploits of gun sharks (hitmen) Finnigan “Finny” Sinister and Ramone “Ray” Dexter in the city of Downlode, sprawled across Central Europe “like a hit and run victim” I’ve noticed that the characters started out as the hitmen from Pulp Ficition (1994 ) but slowy turned into a dead clown and wesley snipes in appearance, lets face it, Mr Snipes could do with a bit of cash, so lets get this made and help a brotha out! To be honest I’d prefer to see Danny John Jules play the part.

Django Unchained Merchandise

News has finally got to me about the Django Unchained merchandise causing a ruckus over the dolls being racist!?

There are tons of comments being thrown around like..

“We were outraged,” Ali told the Associated Press. “We feel it trivialises the horrors of slavery and what African Americans experienced.”

And Spike’s tweet

“American Slavery Was Not A Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western. It Was A Holocaust. My Ancestors Are Slaves. Stolen From Africa. I Will Honor Them.”

When I was a kid it was seen as being racist for not making a black doll, now when you do it, it’s racist.

Personally I don’t see that the dolls would be brought by white supremacists to prove a point of teaching their kids how to buy and trade slaves, I see them as being brought by adults who appreciate the movie, who are Taratino fans or even if brought for children, for those children to play with and to make up their own stories with them.

I’m black and I don’t see what all the ho ha is about. Ultimately it’s getting a lot of people talking about the movie and all publicity is good publicity, I wasn’t going to rush out and see the movie, I was going to await it’s arrival in block busters, but now I might venture into town and check it out..

I have very few pieces of movie memorabilia, I have a Crow and Otis doll, I don’t think this makes me a white male musician homicidal maniac. I won’t be running over roof tops screaming “Run Rabbit!”

I kinda see it as being a positive thing, it; the film and dolls; are getting the message and reminder that slavery did exist, and still does, there is a serious lack of black action figure dolls and role models out there.

I seriously don’t see these toys will be a turning point for humanity. In 50 years time I doubt I will look back and think, dammit if it wasn’t for those damned Django toys I wouldn’t be in this darn market getting my ass sold.

I think we need to note what has happened and use that to move on. But here seems to be a group of people who want to live in the past and suffer the persecutions on a daily basis, but this will send you insane (which I think this matter is.. totally insane) of course we don’t want to forget or for this to ever happen again but we do need to grow up from the lesson not keep re taking the lesson.

Movies I’m looking for

There are a lot of movies I only have on video or remember seeing one night on TV without knowing what I was watching and need some help locating. If you have them for sale or can help me locate them then please let me know.

This list will GROW …

  • Unknown – British(?) prison movie, one inmate smears his schite all over the walls then blood, another more placid inmate with long brown dreads turns from a gentle painter to guard stabber, main character released at the end… any ideas?
  • A desert film featuring a group of young people out to have some fun who encounter a strange black car that threatens and starts killing and torturing them, Mirage
  • Detective movie, probably Croatian, main detective wears bright coloured zoot suits which change colours in each scene
  • Film where a man is trying to commit suicide but everything fails, he attempts to gas himself but the gas company is on strike, he tries to hang himself but the rope snaps etc – I Hired a Contract Killer
  • Unknown animation – possibly on Animation on 4 and possibly early 90’s but can’t be totally sure. The first half is like pastel coloured people repeating leisure tasks, a man plays golf and a women dives into a pool, in a bright montage kinda David Hornkey style art, then in stark contrast a being in another dimension in a world all black and white, similar to the artwork of Ian Miller, all scratchy peers into this lavish world and attempts to break through, i remember there was a loud buzzing of flies in this darker reality.. any ideas?
